BASE Atlantic

Established in 2005, BASE Atlantic is an organization specializing in community capacity building, and entrepreneurship development. We support indigenous communities through policy development, financial management and planning, community outreach, cultural programs and governance structures. Over the years, we have worked extensively with indigenous communities in central Labrador, Nova Scotia and in recent years in Greenland with Inuit based small businesses delivering marketing and exporting workshops. The consulting practice builds on policies and programs that reflect each individual First Nation and Indigenous Community. In some cases, when policies are in place but may be outdated, we will do the necessary research and collaboration with appropriate managers/leaders to bring them back to life. We offer staff training to help ensure successful implementation of policies and programs in the belief that integrating and working within the community is paramount.
